Willow Football Team

Willow’s football team participated in the first round of the 7-a-side tournament.

The team was Cain, Dylan, Deacon, Archie, Jenson (C), Daniel, AJ and Kyron.

We played three matches. We drew 0 – 0 with Kingsway Primary School and Meadowside. In the last game we won 1 – 0 with Kyron grabbing the winner.

This put us level with Meadowside on 7 points. It went to penalties  and after 5 penalties each the scores were level. Sudden death!!! We unfortunately missed our penalty but go through to the next round as runners up!!!

A huge congratulations to the boys!!!

Willow’s football team participated in the Small Schools Tournament

The team was Cain, Lahkye, Deacon, Jenson (C), Archie, Daniel and Kyron.

We first played Longford Park with Kyron grabbing the winner. Next up was Croft were we drew 0-0. The third game was against Castle Hill and we lost 1-0. We did equalise but the final whistle had just gone. The final match of the group stage was against Birdlip and we won 1-0 with Kyron scoring again. We finished third in the group and went through to play Shurdington and lost the final game 1-0. Well done to the boys and thanks to the parents for their support!

Willow’s football team played against Kings School.

The team was Cain, Calvin, Jenson (C), AJ, Daniel, Davien, Kyron and Alisha.

It was a tight first half but Willow played some good football. We let two goals  in at the start of the second half but Daniel scored a brilliant individual goal.

It was a good team performance with some new players starting who performed really well.
