Hi, I’m Christine Pollard and I’m a learning partner in Maple Class. I’m in my 5th year at Willow. I’ve worked in lots of different schools and worked in all the year groups.
My name is Mrs Stephens. I have worked at Willow Primary Academy for 14 years and was a student teacher and supply teacher here before that! I love the school and all of the children and every day is different and so rewarding. I love to create experiences for the children to remember. During my time at Willow I have taught in every year of the Juniors. I am subject leader of P.E, Computing, Geography and French but I also love Science. In my spare time I love walking, especially near water, spending time with my family and our two bunnies and listening to music.

Year 5 Curriculum Overview
The following document gives you more information about the Curriculum in Year 5
- PE is on a Friday. Please make sure your child wears their correct PE kit into school and any jewellery is removed.
- Reading books and records must be in school every day so that we can hear your children read. Please ensure your child reads at least 4 times a week at home and sign their reading record with the date. Any other comments about their reading are helpful but not essential. The children earn a Dojo points each time they read at home and they can spend these in the pride shop.
- Homework will be set on a Friday and is to be completed by the following Thursday. This will include spellings, Maths, English and a curriculum menu with extra activities to choose from.
- Please ensure your child’s belongings are labelled clearly with their name and they have a drinks bottle in school everyday.
